Tamworth Main Street Monthly Fair Guidelines

Objectives
1) To provide a facility for goods to be sold at the Fair, the goods primarily are restricted to arts, crafts, hobbies and hand made, home grown products associated with the Cottage Industries
2) To give preference to Tamworth and District Stall Holders

Definitions
"Cottage Industry" means an industry carried out in a private residence by the family/occupants of that residence and does not include commercial products.
"Commercial Products" means products that are mass produced or produced in premises other than in a private residence.

Stallholder / Reservation Criteria
Each person wishing to become a stallholder must reserve a site with the Fair Co-ordinator before the Cottage Craft Fair. Once a stallholder has attended a Cottage Craft Fair they are classified as 'casual'. A 'Casual' stallholder must acknowledge by telephone of attendance each month until reaching 'Permanent' status. 'Casual' stallholders are to ring on the Friday afternoon prior to the Craft Fair for position on the day.

Determination of 'Permanent' status. 6 months continuous attendance at Cottage Craft Fair enables a stallholder to be classed as a 'permanent'. 'Permanents' do not have to ring to advise attendance as it would be taken for granted that they will be attending if not, they are to advise the Fair Coordinator Failure to advise of non-attendance for 2 consecutive months reverts back to a 'casual' basis. A valid reason for nonattendance would be taken into consideration.

Grounds for dismissal where Stallholders do not comply with directions from the Fair Co-odinator, or use the Fair for purposes other than those intended, the Fair Coordinator has the right to ask the Stallholder to cease trading.

Stallholders Insurance
(Workers Compensation and Personal Accident)
Stallholders shall ensure that they have adequate insurance to cover themselves and their staff in the event of injury and in the event of public risk.
